Currently located near Bogie's Bar, Le Bistro remains true to its label as a French Brasserie: a neighborhood restaurant known for its generous and flavorful cuisine.
Chef Armel Bedouet left his native Brittany inspired by a passion for authentic cuisine. He developed his talent in several prestigious establishments in France, including Lameloise, rated 18/20 by the Gault&Millau guide and the holder of three Michelin stars. In 2001 he moved to Geneva and joined the brigade of Dominique Gauthier at Le Chat Botté, which has a rating of 18/20 in the G&M and holds one Michelin star. Since 2008, he has been in charge of the kitchens of the Hotel Royal restaurants including L’Aparté, which was awarded a rating of 18/20 for the 2026 G&M guide and in 2020 was awarded one Michelin star, an honour which has been proudly maintained. For the 2019 G&M, and again in the 2026 guide, Armel Bedouet received the “Promu de l’année” distinction.
